Looking to build a PC almost strictly for CS:GO that can get me hopefully 200+ frames in both deathmatch and 5v5 on my 144hz monitor (1080p, low settings). Have put together the build below, but am quite out of the loop on today's hardware; any critique would be great
1) What will you be doing...
I don't really think wireless is the way to go if you're used to using wired.
Deathadder and IE3.0 are very similar, but I think you should just pick another IE3.0 off of eBay for $30 or so.
EDIT: Looks like the Mamba is a wireless Deathadder? If it is, you should probably just get that.
There are huge differences between the two games. Guns/Recoil, Flashbangs, Smokes, and the fact that you can shoot trough walls in 1.6, among other things. You'd think that a person who has played both games competitively "in cevo" would notice these things as they are imperative to how you run...
In a video game, I'm not looking for whether it is realistic or not. I look for gameplay, skill to play the game, competition and enjoyment. I'm not arguing realism here.. I'm talking about gameplay. COD4 takes a lot less skill to play than CS, and there are a lot of aspects that I don't enjoy...
Bunnyhopping hasn't been an issue since the 1.5 -> 1.6 update came out, as it's really not that beneficial to do it anymore. As for getting killed by someone who's bunnyhopping, I don't think I've barely ever been killed by anyone doing it in 1.6. In CSS, that's a different story though as it's...
Didn't like the game =/.
Not nearly as open as San Andreas, and not as much stuff to do. (Rampaging around with the fighter jet in itself was worth it for San Andreas. Purchasable property was also awesome)
For the most part, you'll miss out on a lot of the story (amazing story) by not playing the other ones. There is a bit of re-cap in MGS4, so you won't miss everything.
The controls are pretty easy once you get used to them.
I played it once when I was 13 or so, was at a friend's birthday party and his brother wanted us to play it.. I thought it was pretty nerdy and stupid before I played it.
But admittedly it was a blast, had a lot of fun. I think we played all night.. Was equally if not more fun than playing...
I really miss this game :( But I had to quit, I was pretty addicted. I gave away my account to a friend, and haven't looked back :P. When I left, Chains of Promathia had came out, and everyone was getting owned by that one HNM in Sea.
What'd that thing actually drop anyways?
I've got one Vista PC, and one XP PC on my network. One of them is wireless (the vista one) and the other is wired(XP).
After much trouble, I can finally access the files on my XP system from my Vista one. Can play them, put them on my HDD and all that, but the case is the opposite on my XP...
The m51SN I bought is almost identical specs to this, but with a 15" instead. It's got a numpad too, which I enjoy.
I'll upload some pics later, I really like this thing :). But I might upgrade the CPU to a 8xxx or 9xxx series Core2, not sure yet though. It's ran all the games I normally play...
1280x960 is what I used to use on my old 17" CRT before it started screwing up and made any resolution above 800x600 appear wavy and shaky.
Liked that monitor too :( Have a 22" LCD now and it's not the same.
I've been looking at laptops lately and I'm really quite stumped as I know nothing about them. My price range is about $1000-$1300 ish and i'm not really sure what to get.

That's one of the ones...
QCK+, Everglide Titan Monstermat.. Mouse pads are for the most part are preference, personally I use super low sensitivity so I need a gigantic pad.
For mice the MX518, Deathadder, MS IE3.0, and the Steel Series Ikari Optical are all good choices if you want something that is THE BEST. Having...
I've got a couple things for sale here that have been in my closet un-used for quite some time, and am just looking to get rid of them. All items are OBO, reasonably of course :)
I will ship to the states. Depending on how much it costs to ship, I may pay half of whatever it is.
More pictures...
Never really got into BF2 too much, other than when I me and a couple guys on my CS team are looking for something to do. It's fun, but I like when I shoot things and it registers ;).
