Yeah the OEM X2's for socket 939 WERE this price, but they seem to have run out. I cannot find any on any of the most common sites... They went pretty fast I think. Glad I got that 4200+ X2 when I did...
Wow, such a great deal... must resist...
Ugh, I was tempted @ $300, now 259.99 with the coupon you provided... The only problem is I'll have to upgrade my vid card as well, and I wanted to skip a generation...
Decisions, decisions
Something similar happened to me when I used FTD.com ... I started getting weird charges from the company I never gave my CC info too. Shady business to say the least. I got it sorted out but it was annoying. Luckily, I didn't have an overdraft.
I just got it in today, it was packaged very well like Phimp's. Boxed, bubble wrapped like crazy, etc. It's up and running now, I opted to use the torrent b/c of sheer laziness! It all installed without a hitch, and all the software is working correctly.
Just had a question. I have a stereo...
Awesome Phimp! I knew we could figure it out haha. Just a matter of time...
Thanks for all the links and stuff, I'm not sure what's different in you're torrent than the .iso I downloaded off of filefront (linked from the creative forums). I guess I should just use the one you linked since it...
What did you use to make it a .cab file?
Did you try these Phimp?

Damn, that doesn't look like I'd hoped! Anyway, looking trough more stuff, try changing the line to this:

That was an updated...
After looking into the support.cab file, I found one of the differences. The Hardware ID is in CTComp.dat.
The line is:
[Hardware.Map10]
ID = 05000020, 05000021, 05000022, 05000023, 05100003, 05000024, 05000025, 05000026
The original is

Thore, from what I've seen you should have no problem getting it to work. The tricky thing is getting the extra software from creative to work with it.
Another idea, go into the iso (using magicISO or something) and try to find the individual software packages to install... not sure if this would work. I looked at it just for a minute and found multiple setup.exe's in different folders... worth a shot possibly.
SB...
Phimp did you try using the original .iso you downloaded (the 600+ mb one) after you got those final drivers installed? Maybe you can use that to install the software you wanted?
Alright Blue Falcon, thanks a lot. I just used magic iso and applied the patch (as simple as replacing one rar file). Now I have to wait until the card gets here to make sure it works... I'm pretty excited to see (hear) the difference!
Yeah, I've been using onboard sound (which is actually sounds decent to me, but I've never used a sound card. These headphones are definitely the most comfortable I've ever used. Even with glasses it is comfortable. There are HUGE, and have a ton of padding... They don't really make get me hot...
Yeah I agree, maybe I'm just a bit more tentative when ordering stuff online, but I always look at all of the options pretty thoroughly and stuff.
That sounds about right, and seems to be the case with a lot of places. I've ordered many times from Buy.com and have yet to have a single...
I bit last night, I've never used a sound card before, but always thought about it. At this price for an x-fi, I just couldn't resist.
A couple of questions: I have the Creative Fatal1ty Headset (sooooooooo comfy) that was on buy.com for $40. Are these good enough to notice a difference in? I...
Do you have an older video card you can try? A non 8800 series one? Because it only happens during gaming, and everything else seems stable, the video card has to be the problem...
