yeah i've been playing it for 3 days, its one of those games that you play for about 4 hours then turn off so you can think about the best way to do the next bit, its excellent not many games get me thinking like this. definatly buy it.
phoned the company up and they are going to repair it for free if it is the connectors seeing as it most likely stemmed from them repairing it, but if it isnt i will have to pay for carriage and hardware inspection :S
thanks guy.
its those bloody panda's at fortune. last time i sent it back apart from the power pack issue i also had to send it back cause they had broke the "o" key so it fell off now and again. i fixed that myself, then the spacebar key didnt react when you pressed it (no space) great i get to shout at...
i personally wouldnt go near a lcd monitor yet, sure they are fancy, they are nice and clear, but they are very very nice and very expensive when you consider what they do.
absolutely solid pixel lines yes, and the rest of the monitor is fine, i was playing dawn of war on it last night and the line showed up again still flickering but like just a blue flickering lines going up and down vertictly, but never straying from the bar.
never seen anything like it :S
its a 1 year old system.

i was worried about my data too man, i'm a professional photographer and i had a good 3 shoots on it that i hadnt backed up about £2000 worth of pay.
ask dell when you send it back to do everything in their power to attempt to retrieve the data.

its design is a complete waste of time and if you end up not paying for it, it can be worse than a virus because it'll lock up your system tighter than the queen vic.
well personally being a doom 3 gamer your stuff needs to be the coolest it can get and onboard stuff never cuts it for me.
i use an akasa notebook cooler and its awesome,...they do work wonders

get some fps data for us all.
alt +ctrl + ¬ = when the console comes up type com_showfps 1 and com showfps 0 to take it off.
i can run 800x600 at a constant 30, hits 60 now and again on 800x600 on medium detail on my 2.4 ghz 512ddr radeon 9000 which is perfectly playable.
