Oh, well if they are the same price wherever your buying them, definitely get the OCZ. They are basically equivalent in terms of quality, but the OCZ is faster.
Let it run at the SPD. I bet if you change from 1T to 2T, you'll get no errors and you'll even be able to tighten your timings. I built two computers for people recently on the P5N-E SLI and I couldn't get 100% reliable operation at 1T at all. I guarantee it'll be fixed once you switch to 2T.
Hey all. I've been looking at getting the Corsair Dominator PC8500. Recently, alot of people seem to recommending the Patriot and the Crucial PC8500. Does any 1 of these 3 really stand out from the others?
Also, I seem to see a lot of people recommending just sticking to PC6400...
I think it is the RAM's fault if it needed to be at 2.2 and it was at 1.8. From my experiences, undervolted RAM acts just like bad RAM or RAM that's way too OCed.
Well, right now on NewEgg, with rebates, the Corsair is $179 and the Patriot is $195. I'll look around though and see what kind of review the Patriot gets.
Will do. I graduate college on the 18th. My money from everyone is getting me a new PC finally. My last PC was a high school graduation gift. Only upgrade has been a 6800 Ultra :(.
Abit AB9 QuadGT
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320
Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 2GB (2x1GB)
eVGA nVidia GeForce...
How is the stock NB cooling on this thing? I was thinking of upgrading to the Thermalright HR-05, but it looks like I'll have to remove the cooling from the mosfets too, and I don't wanna do that at all :(
I'll be buying this board on the 19th I think.
Thanks. I have no intention of going SLI... ever. I was just sticking to nVidia because they are all I've ever bought. I never had an Intel chip anyways, let alone an Intel chipset. I'll check around for a thread on the Quad GT.
I've seen that Silverstone one around. The build quality on it looks amazing. But it's got the PSU at the bottom, which drives me nuts. It also has a fan in a weird spot. Otherwise it looks like a sweet case, but for the money, not worth it for me personally. I am really liking that NZXT...
I've considered this one, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I don't know if it is too plain, or looks too small or what.
Ew.
This one is on my list now, thanks to you. I like the two back fans.
On my list :). Thanks again.
Already on my list from the previous guy :).
Sweet case, but...
Now that is a sweeeeeet case. The price is a little high though. NewEgg link...

Arcygenical, thanks, I missed that one I think. I'll have to decide between the two.
Anyone else know of any cases like these ones? They...
Hey all. I'm graduating soon and my parents and grandparents are giving me a ton of money for a new computer. I've been looking for a sweet case and I feel like I've seen every case out there twice, but I still haven't found one I loved. The best ones I've seen for me are the CM Praetorian...
Hi all. I'm building a new computer.
The CPU will be an E6320.
The RAM will be Corsair Dominator 1066 2x1GB.
Initially...
I want to set the FSB to 266.5 (266.5*4=1066).
I want to set the RAM to 533 (533*2=1066).
I want to set the CPU to 1865 (266.5*7=1865.5).
In the end...
I...
After working on mine forever, the trick seems to be to set it to anything but 800mhz. I got mine working fine anything above 820mhz. It's around 900mhz right now. The second I put it back to 800mhz, it crashes non stop.
Hi all. I'm having some serious problems with this board and my G.Skill RAM. I have 4x1GB sticks.
With 2 sticks in, I can get 5-5-5-15 1T @ 800 fine.
With a little bit of voltage (1 step up) I can do 3 sticks at 5-5-5-15 2T @ 800 fine.
No matter what I do, I can't get the board with 4...

That's a good idea about TAC. I normally only call them for RMA stuff... I forgot we paid em for other stuff too :).
We can't switch the static machines from static to DHCP because they don't support it. They are mostly robots and weird machines.
We've already done the VLAN and trunking thing. We also already only enable used ports, kind of. We use port security so when anything is plugged into a hot port, it shuts down and then we need to manually enable it once we approve the MAC. The problem is with "trusted" users. We have about...
Hello everyone. My boss has given me the task of preventing ARP poison man-in-the-middle attacks. We run mostly Catalyst 6509s in hybrid mode (CatOS and IOS). The best way I've found to prevent these attacks is DAI for DHCP assigned addresses and an ACL for static addresses. I was wondering...
In windows XP you can't disable the page file. Even if you select "no page file", it still uses one. And even with 2GB or more RAM and running no programs, your page file is still used.

I haven't read all of the comments but... I just wanted to say this was a very good read and I'm glad to have heard about a company like this. I personally build all my computers myself, but I feel proud to know there is a group like this out there for people who want top notch quality that...
We are considering the 7950GX2 a single card. We were both under the impression that it was much simpler to set up the SLI and all that with a 7950GX2 than a real SLI setup.
If the X1950XTX is more capable, why would the 7950GX2 be more powerful exactly? Pricing is irrelevant because I am building this computer for my boss... he just wants to avoid SLI/CF.
What is the fastest single video card on average? The card will be playing almost any game made, but mostly FFXI. I've been looking at the 7900GTX, 7950GX2, and the X1950XTX but I seem to get constantly conflicting results.
Also, is there a official release date for the G80 other than...
Haha, so I saw you say Ciscoworks and I remembered... "Hey, we have two Ciscoworks servers. What the hell are they though?" So I go ask a coworker and he says that yeah we have them and they do exactly what I was doing, but that the software is unreliable, hard to use, and slower than doing it...
Well, I'd go over the AVS forums and spend about.... 30 hours reading posts in their TV specific sections first to find a TV. Then you'll wanna read about all the other technologies. I personally ended up with a Samsung DLP HL-S5687W, just bought it last week.
It took me 6 months to settle...
