Looking to possibly buy a 7990 now they've come down in price, really not sure though if there's any benefit to it, my current config is a 6990+6970. Would it be more of a side grade than an upgrade in performance terms?

Going to be installing a 240 corsair ssd on Tuersday, after doing the install in ahci mode is it possible to turn on raid for the raptors to run in raid 0 or do i have to stick with ahci mode? :confused:

Ended up finally snagging a 6990 for a decent price, performance in BF3 seems to be all over the place though. The best performing drivers seemed to be 12.3 which loaded the 6990 to around 96-99% but for some reason left the 6970 hanging around the 65-75 range. Ended up trying a few driver...

Im looking to possibly upgrade a 6970 from my system to a 6990 for tri crossfire, after playing the bf3 beta it was very obvious that on my current gpu setup 5760x1080 wasn't all that playable. I was averaging around 35-40 fps or so but after playing it on a single screen it just felt sluggish...

Just put my comoponents into one of these last night and have to say the airflow is fucking terrible to non existant. Just about everything has jumped up in temp drastically, my q6600-g0 at 3ghz under prime load is hitting in the mid 70's, in my last case (p180) 3ghz on that quad would be lucky...

I think in a few of the reviews the 30th jan was tossed around a a date new drivers would hit, thats came and gone. Wonder how much longer, i know theyre normally out around the 12th each month but for a card release id expect some new ones before that.
