Thank you very much, sharknice: switching the USB port didn't make any difference but unplugging the mouse (even just lifting it off what I've been using as a mousepad - a printed dinner placemat) stops the drift in its tracks. I've got to find a different 'mousepad' and try that. Your...
M'God! I've put all the [H]'ers asleep!
I realize this isn't an exciting technical problem for almost all of you, but doesn't anyone know if this drifting problem can - or can't - be fixed?
Haaalp!
My 14-month old Gigabyte M6800 has taken to drifting in the direction the cursor arrow typically points in. My cursor arrow always points left and up and that's where it goes... kind of slowly, and it takes a few minutes to start but once it does it's inexorable. Whacking the mouse = No Joy...
hi: I'm not trying to take the light away from seagate; I'm trying to compare the 3tb seagate at about $109.99 (as low as $99.99 at Staples) with the Toshiba Canvio 3tb external hdd (also at Staples)
What HDD is likely to come inside the Canvio 3tb hdd? Anyone have experience with this...
Neat! By 1:24 you can hear them starting to sync up; by 1:42 they're almost in sync, and
by 2:02 it sounded like they were all in sync.
enjoyed this, thanks. :)
I've had this happen to me also and it drives me nuts!!! It utterly baffles me that a seller would not use DC just to save a few pennies - of course they don't tell you they did not use delivery confirmation/tracking until ** AFTER ** they ship your stuff and it's too late to offer to pay for...
In need of a DLSR camera with lenses, battery, battery charger, sd card, usb cable, etc. Something like a great used Nikon d40 (need shutter count and pics)
Shutter count can be obtained at either:

Couple of things bothering me here:
#1. If the laptop ran long enough to install windows it surely ran for MORE THAN 3 MINUTES during the install without triggering the fan monitor shut-down. Something doesn't add up.
#2. IMHO the time to make the important decision to keep or return was...
any pictures/descriptions of the actual items for sale? I see you sold the 2tb drive, what about the other item?
A link to paypal - uhhh....I must be missing something there
what's the cheapest used video card I can get away with (ATI) for *decent* play BF3?
(rig: giga Ex58-ud3r v1.7; i7-920; PCI-e 2.0 (not 2.1); 6Gb Ram; HP 2311 1920x1080 23" monitor)
Tnx
Hi. I'm ready to mount a new motherboard in it's case and came up against a question I've seen answered BOTH ways:
#1). FLOAT the motherboard ground by using NYLON stand-off's and let the motherboard be GROUNDED only at ONE POINT - by the power supply cable
(I've successfully used...
Hi:
Looking for a few things:
a few sticks of 512mb DDR 400 Pc3200 CL3 low-density ram to resurrect my donated lenovo thinkcentre 8193
a 9vdc 1500ma wall-wart preferrably with *center negative* (weird I know) If you have one and it's center-positive, I think I can just cut the wires...
I'm a noob when it comes to these motherboards: I do have a bnib i7-920 and some of the other components to complete this build but I was wondering:
Has anyone had one of these mother boards and are there "issues" with it? LINKS to any information on how the board works long term, etc would...
I'm a noob and I thank you for the link: it now goes to a really nice looking knife, the "SOG X-Ray Vision". But a cursory read didn't tell me if this knife is "assisted opening" or not.
I've owned a Benchmade AFCK for over ten years and I'm not at all happy with it. I wrote to ask them the...
I bought two copies of MWB Pro from NewEgg and each came with a card inside that had both the I.D. *and* the 16-digit code to unlock the CD. Nothing mentioned about having to write in to MalwareBytes. I haven't tried to install it yet but with the information supplied in the box I don't...
I managed to get in on the NewEgg deal ($9.99 per copy) and I bought two copies of MalwareBytes PRO (one for this lap-top and another copy for an X58 build I'm still gathering the final parts for)
I'd like to know if anyone else who ordered MalwareBytes PRO through NewEgg's special offer...
your moralistic post contributes absolutely zero to this thread and is basically thread-crapping. But that is just my opinion.
I think a program that does things without permission is troublesome. I'm sure MSE is a fine program (I did run it, afterall) but it does things I didn't want done...
I bought two copies; one for this lap-top and a copy for the i7 rig I'm trying to complete. They come in *cardboard boxes* and NewEgg's shipping dept. just tossed the two cardboard boxes into a bubble-lined envelope and shipped them.
Can we spell "boxes arrived crushed-flat ?"
ATM I'm...
It appeared to run fine on XP (and silently ate all my keygen's in the process)
<sigh> it ran fine on XP/SP3 until I removed it in favor of another AV.
The $9.99 deal at NewEgg is back up...at least for now.
I apologize if I'm wrong, but the prices when you go to this link and click on the 3-day "Black-Friday" sale...well, they are way higher than they were on Friday. Way higher!
CraigsIist would not repeat NOT be my first choice to buy a grunge/cheap PC - too easy to get ripped off with zero recourse. I'd do a search for "recertified" on TigerDirect and also Directron (TigerDirect has an IBM 8183 for $99.98 and Directron is even cheaper) I don't know about shipping...
