I still own doom 64 too. Although my favorite was doom for the snes. That awsome looking red cartridge. Maybe it is because I never got to enjoy doom on the PC and I was very young when i got it.
Never played midtown 1. Midtown 2 san francisco was awsome. My friends and I used to lan it up and play the steal the gold option in san francisco. So much fun.
haha that episode owned. Reminded me of me and my friends back in high school lanned up (only playing cs instead of wow). We always used to joke that our fat friend would get a toilet seat as a gaming chair when he was older. Man that episode made my day.
Cant believe this system is 10 years old (sept 30 1996 launch date). Seems like just yesterday I was playing mario 64 for the first time. I actually got mine on the 27th because back then if you preordered a game toys r us would give it to you once their shipment got in.
My favorite games...
Probably just zelda. I've got a gamecube and a bunch of games, and although i still have my snes, nes, and n64, im sure there will be some downloadable games for those systems that i never bought such as shadows of the empire, majoras mask, super mario rpg, donky kong 3, etc.
wow lots of hardcore old school gamers in here. Glad to see im not the only one who kept my nes, snes, and n64. I have a saturn, but i got curious one night and decided to take it apart to see how it worked. My mom made me do something and by the time I finally got a chance to start putting...
Definatly agree with Alice and WoW (or all blizzard games for that matter). Also, I think Super Mario 64 deserves a nomination for being one of the first true 3D games. It wasnt just a graphical revolution, it set the standard for making 3D games.
Also, I thought mafia was one of the best single player pc games ever made. Id love to see a sequal of that. When they first started developing it, there was supposed to be multiplayer. I think having multiplayer would be a blast. Something like you cant shoot in the open for fear of cops...
You and TheCommander are so right. If this game would have had fewer bugs and better integrated multiplayer that didnt rely on gamespy, It would still be played today just as starcraft and counter-strike are played. Still one of my favorite games of all time. You guys ever played Armed and...
LOL it seems like whenever i click on the games part of this forum there is one of these threads. As long as there is a market for pc games people will make pc games. Its that simple.
Ahh, brings back memories of Recon 2000, a 1250 person lan I went to back in 2001. I remember seeing pics of previous gatherings, they are always huge like that! Pretty impressive. Maybe one day I'll go there.
While we're on the subject of the pronunciations, how do you pronounce Deus-Ex? I heard it was supposed to be like "Dussicks," but i've always heard it as Deuce-ecks.
