Ummm... No? The game asked you if you want to continue playing after finishing the main quest. There were actually a few fun things to do after you finished the game. Like finding the "game manual" (which gave a shitload of xp each time and put all your skills on max) or visiting the gal in New...
Shit, I'm about 35 hours in and just hit the level cap (20). I didn't use quick travel though. I kinda created an evil mutated cyborg cannibal with adamantium skeleton ( :D ) who can rape a freakin' army using an AK and a few grenades. And I didn't even start exploring the northern part of the...
What's up with all the motion sickness whining? Lately it seems like a huge part of this forum can't look at a freakin moving image. WTF?
Anyhow, I'm revising my opinion. The game actually got much better (at least for me) after about 10 hours. It's a total sandbox, looks like it's up to the...
Weird - despite the fact that the FC2 is reaaalllyyyy repetitive, respawn rates are ridiculous etc, I just checked statistics and I've already played it for 17 hours. And this game is friggin HUGE - a second map just became avaible for me to explore.
IIRC it was around S-E corner of the map. Single building, should be visible on the detailed scale map. A small road leads right to it. There's also a tape or a briefcase laying next to the gun, so the GPS should lead you to it.
edit: Or it was S-W corner. I don't exactly remember ;) A corner...
I've also found the gold plated AK, looks like it's more reliable than normal weapons. Wonder if there are any more unique guns out there. Anyway, M79 totally rocks. Especially considering the fact that you can use it instead of not so useful pistol or smg. Though, IED's are loads of fun too :D...
Played for about 5 hours now, on "hardcore" difficulty level. The game is fun, but it's just as shallow as Oblivion was. I't like you're a one man army fighting whole Africa. EVERYONE you meet attacks on sight (except those stupid npc's the game calls your "buddies"). There is some kind of...
It should be OK after you talk with Sidorovich. To be sure, try to help stalker Wolf in the village near Sidorovich's bunker.
BTW, I've used maybe 5-8 hand grenades during the whole game. In most of the situations switching from rifle to grenade and back took waaaay too much time. If you...
FrozenLiquidity - well I've beaten the game and it didn't give me a single BSOD, though there were a few CTDs and a messed up quicksave. I had no problems in the hospital area.
Concerning the grenades - yeah, it's kinda strange when they almost always land right on your feet ;)
Artifact hunting is the answer, there's at least one artifact which helps with bleeding. Also there are artifacts that regenerate your health, even to the point that you can bleed all the time and have maximum health. Concerning the weapons, it's in their description - some of them are less...
Oblivion is quite good gameplay-wise, but it has no depth IMO and the story sucks donkey balls. After 40 hours it was god damn boring and my char was so powerful I didn't even bother to fight the enemies, I just sneaked by them.
Witcher on the other hand has great gameplay, great graphics...
Dude, I was expressing my opinion about older Rainbow 6 AI. Teammates in Vegas/Vegas2 were OK. They weren't rocket scientists, but they did their job (even on the so called "realistic" diff level). In "classic" R6 games (the first one, rogue spear, raven shield) their AI is absolutely abysmal.
Well at least in R6V2 your teammates don't act like they had a fucking lobotomy. In all Rainbow 6 greatness, the AI was god damn awful at doing ANYTHING, it still pisses me off even when I think about it.
Got my 8800GTS 640 three or four months after the release. I'm running it at 650/900 and I still don't see a reason to upgrade AT ALL (1680x1050 is my native res).
Finished the game yesterday, took the renegade route. Game's fucking brilliant and it really makes you care about the characters. The end is EPIC and besides giving the player a nice closure, it makes a sweet base for a sequel. The only real flaw are the side quests. Waaaay too much repetitive...
IMO anything pales in comparison to the things you encounter in Penumbra. Even S.T.AL.K.E.R. with the damn bloodsuckers. The setting makes them god damn terrifying.
Mask of The Betrayer rules - it's clearly the best NWN campaign ever and it's the only recent crpg in which you can be REALLY FUCKING EVIL. And I mean it, you REALLY can play as one mean son of a bitch and boy, it's fun to do so once you get into the game. Oblivion's plot and role playing...
QFT, one of the best comments in this thread :D
Actally if developers would include resting and setting up camp this game would be a god damn 11/10 (at least for me). IIRC they wanted to include the need to rest but the idea was abanoned near the end. Anyway, I'm curious if they will dwell...

Especially the accuracy, which reminded me of being an experienced HUMAN fighter, not a fucking cyborg. I've shot over 400 bullets during a fight with 7 or 8 guys (of course in the game :) ) and the fight was fucking immersing. No CS/HL bullshit with snapshot lead lobotomy, just a total...
Witcher is absolutely jaw-dropping, hands down the best of the current generation cRPGs. Story-wise, it's in the same league as Fallout, Torment and Baldur's Gate. GOTY for me.
Witcher - first crpg in years which isn't a fantasy/star wars heroic gayfest. It's dirty, gritty and fucking awesome. GOTY for me, even despite tech problems on launch. Hopefully the christmas patch will fix them.
Some comments on other titles:
Crysis is a technological marvel and it...

After Oblivion and Two Worlds I started losing faith in all those sandbox "crpg" games. They're fun for some time, but after you learn the game mechanics they start to suck. Also , all those posts with Oblivion screenshots with women dressed in custom, usually idiotic looking pseudo-armor...
Anybody seen a movie called "Event Horizon"? The story behind Borealis looks exactly like the one in the movie, except in Event Horizon it was a space ship which disappeared "for a while". It's a cool movie by the way, watch it if you can.
*spoilers*
Final battle didn't make ANY sense. You'd bet that Combine controllers (or however they call those big blobs) have so powerful brains that they developed telekinesis, yet they can't think of support fire from the hills and can't dump all Striders at once to make a clean sweep. As...
Riddick.
Cool stealth system and literally F*CKING AWESOME close quarters combat. I have to agree with the guy who liked this game better than HL2.
To be honest, I have no idea why Chronicles of Riddick is (as far as I know) the ONLY fps game in which you can use your adversaries...
For me it was one of the most immersing games of all times, but it suffered from major technical issues.
Anyway, WiC is great, in terms of gameplay - superior to Bioshock IMO. Bioshock started to get boring after the 1st half of the game and I've finished it only because of the good story...

This made the assassin's guild quests interesting and quite immersing, to this day I remember a contract for a guy who was living in a hut far away from any city and I had to actually search for him for some time. Much more interesting than any quest in Oblivion. Of course, Morrowind also...
In single player there are (for each side of the conflict) 3 assault tanks, repair tank, APC, 3 types of infantry, troop transport (for example: humvee for the US), truck, 3 helis and some AA's (IIRC 2) and 2 or 3 artillery units.
They're ~18 year old Altus 120, made by Tonsil - pretty good, old Polish company (but IIRC rather unknown around the world). I had to replace the woofers when surrounds started falling apart (after 16 years of ass-kicking :D ), so I got similar ones, made by the same company. Now I have to...
