Bioshock (retail copy) can't be registered on Steam. Only a couple non-Valve-made games (like Prey) can be registered on Steam. Activision doesn't allow it; that's why you can't register Bioshock or COD4 retail copies on Steam.
Yeah, folding on my X1950Pro brought me up from pretty far back into 2nd on my (300th ranked, much smaller) team. It went down a month or so ago, since, I've dropped back to 7th or so. It gets 'er done.
This game is insanely fun, especially with multiple friends. My Strat broke (can only upstrum) but I'm playing with the Xplorer in the meantime and I'm having a blast.
Yeah, I'm wondering this too. I was looking forward to it, as ATM I don't have a TV to play on but I do still have the Xplorer.
edit: Amazon still has the PC bundle release date today but no single-game.
I'm in Phoenix, and this is a great thing. Especially since a few of one of my best friend's relatives work at Intel.
and I can go try to get some "free samples"
Exit Portal > Properties (of Portal) > Language > Change to German > Change back to English > Restart Portal
Fixed it for me.
edit: like a redheaded stepchild
X1950Pro, 4x or 6x AA works fine, settings recommended by Valve. I had the looping sound crash for a bit, and part of what I did was upgrading to the 7.9 drivers. Don't know if that helped on AA (don't think it mattered).
I never played the original Team Fortress or TFC, so when they announced that it was coming with Episode 2 it was really the first time I'd heard about it. I didn't pay much attention to it, was more interested in Ep2 and Portal in that package. In the past couple weeks though, I've been...
Orange Box will be for PC/360/PS3. There's no Black Box, PC buyers must either buy whatever they want on Steam or get the Orange Box retail.
edit: and last I heard, it's on the 9th, not the 2nd. I may be wrong, though. I hope I am.
I have to help a fellow Goose. Here's what I did: Extract the .zip, the entire thing, to a blank folder on your desktop. After its done (should be a few minutes), go into the folder and run setup. It should install like a regular program at that point. Start>All Programs>2k>BioShock Demo
It's possible to get rid of the jaggies somehow. I don't know how this person did it.

If you mean Ryan's speech about his philosophy (what's the name of it again?) then yeah, it is supposed to make most people uncomfortable. That's part of the game.
Premium, because I got it used for a great price. Would have gotten it anyway, since the Elite wasn't out when I got it (and IMO the Elite is too expensive, and the Premium pushing it).
Hi, I'm looking to buy a relatively cheap, used laptop for my brother when he returns to college in late August (he spilled water/beer on his old one while it was on, a no-no). He doesn't need much, the old one had a Pentium 3 933mhz processor with either 256 or 512MB memory, with Windows XP. I...
If you're not overclocking and have half-decent airflow in your case-no. If you plan to overclock much, then yeah, a good aftermarket cooler would help keep temps within the reasonable range.
Turtle Rock is developing the game. Valve isn't doing that much other than publishing, the Source Engine, not too much else.
Oh, and I've heard Q3/Q4 for L4D, not sure how reliable though.
