I wish I could use that upper HD cage fan. With my video card I can't. And nice puppy you got there.
Here's mine. Just installed Maximus II Formula and that TRUE Black. And that video card is a 4870.
The motherboard came with this litle LCD screen. It's meant to sit on top...
I haven't watched TV on it yet. But if I do, I imagine I can using the HDMI input. I do play my Xbox 360 on it. In the Xbox settings it lets me choose 1920x1200. So I don't have black bars.
The screen is not glossy but the frame is. Comes with a lint free cloth to clean. Posted new pic...
Well I got my T260 last Friday(25th). This monitor is so much bigger than my previous 19" 4:3. I was afraid my ATI 4870 wouldn't be able to run games at 1900x1200. But luckily the 4870 had no problem with everything that I play. As far as input lag goes I have not noticed any ghosting...
My brand new Samsung T260. Loving it except for one dead/stuck pixel. Tried to fix it but couldn't. The touch sensitive power button is kind of hard to turn off and on with. It only seems to work with my entire thumb print touching the sensitive area. Got my x360 hooked up to it. Works...
Hey, that's what I have(see sig)! I've had this for 2 years now and it's been a great monitor. I think a few months ago I just realized that it can tilt forward. For a while I had a package of mints under the base to tilt it forward. I also have my Xbox 360 hooked up through VGA and can...
I might be getting this soon. Its either going to be this t240hd or the t260.
ZipZoomFly Has nice prices for these monitors. About $20 more I can get the t260. The only reason I want the t240hd is for the 2nd hdmi.
Here's Newegg's list of them. Many excellent user reviews.
I think I might hold on to my single 4870. Because I'm also shopping for a new monitor and a mother board and they could be expensive, especially the monitor I'm looking at. This one
If someone is interested in buying my 4870 with its modifications I might step up to an x2
It looks like you're opening the wrong xml file.
Open Catalyst and click the Profiles button and click Profiles Manager.
Enter a profile name (I used the name fanspeed) in the first box and click save.
Now you should have a file called fanspeed.xml or whatever you named the profile as.
Edit...
Go into catalyst, 3D, All Settings, Click Defaults (bottom right corner). Then try to use Crysis' in game AA. If that doesn't work perhaps you have installed a graphics tweak for Crysis. Like an autoexec.cfg file.
Not sure about the fan profile.
This was a 4870 with a Sapphire sticker on it. You could never tell it was Sapphire. Not using the cooler. I just decided to remove the sticker lol. So it is possible to remove it perfectly for those who like ATI's reference design.
Edit: Whoa I just noticed that you can see the...
Do you mean you can't find a place to buy ram sinks seperately? I know a few places.

I got Enzotech's BCC9 for my 4870.
A bit off topic but I removed the huge sticker off my Sapphire. It was a messy job, and you need a good finger nail to get it done. Then I used nail polish remover to remove all the stickyness the sticker left behind.
I wish mine didn't come with a sticker like yours.
I'm looking at my stock cooler for my 4870 now. It looks like it can be done the same way as that 2900 up there. I also have a 2900 and they look very similar.
I agree that you should get Enzotech ramsinks. That's what I got for mine. They were kinda hard to apply to the smaller VRM chips.
Just did 800/1100. My temp was 56c at load with Crysis. I tried 870 but it crashed my drivers instantly when playing Crysis. I guess I would have to raise the volts.
Nice! I got mine down to 29c. Just for a few seconds. But it was there! :) Without the air conditioner on it idles around 38-40. I'm using a Thermalright V2 with some Enzotech Bcc9 ramsinks.
Yeah seriously. My Thermalright V2 is gonna look alot better than that. I might even peel off the sticker if it isn't too much of a hassle.
And I was surprised that I could read the OP.
The guy that was doing that testing at XtremeSystems is GAR. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/member.php?u=20207
Go to the statistics tab and click Find all posts.
I was just going over his posts and it seems he has returned the P5Q3 because of compatibility problems. I'm assuming RAM...
Aww, I wanted Visiontek. Had to get Sapphire because it was the only one in stock when I was ready to order.
Edit: Oooo, just checked Sapphire's Warranty and it's 2 years. That's ok with me. :p
