Basically I have a .txt file that is just an enormous list of random numbers. One number per line, from 1, all the way through 10,000.
I would like to add the word passporttechnologies to the beinning of each one of those numbers.
Is there an easy way to do this?
I need to change to a directory named "E & A" Everytime I do a command line of cd E & A, it says that A is not recognized as an internal or external command. Is there something special I need to know about changing to a directory with an & sign in it?
Ok, so I don't know much about dual display set ups. Here is basically what I would like to accomplish. I have a laptop at work, and also an lcd monitor mounted on the other side of the wall. That lcd monitor is hooked up to the laptop via vga. It allows my customers to see whatever is...
I have two cpu's here for sale.
The first one is an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727
This cpu is brand new, still sealed inside the box and never opened. I bought it from new egg, and then decided I wanted a different...
So I built a new rig with windows 7, I previously had xp. And what I had always done for YEARS was to create my playlists in winamp and save them as m3u's. Then all I had to do was open up itunes, go to import playlist and select it and boom all my songs would pop right up and I could add and...
Just got my new system up and running, yay me!
asus m4a89gtd pro mobo, amd six core 3.3 cpu, 8gb ram. I have it watecooled, not really into overclocking though.
Question is the speed setting for the sata ports, you can set it at 6gb, 3gb, or "auto" Does auto work well enough to give you...
So here's my situation. I had a system I built with dual raptors in a RAID, on an a8n32 sli deluxe motherboard years ago. I used the nvidia raid configuration on the motherboard. The RAID itself is still healthy and all my data is still on it, but the motherboard took a crap on me.
I've...
Ok, so here is the situation. This is the 2nd acrylic case I've built a system in. The first one had the brass stand offs that you had to put a screw in threw the back and screw down so it rises the mobo up about a half inch and you mount it on the brass risers.
THIS case however, I bought...
Hey guys, I'm putting this xspc kit in my system, and the tubing it came with is 7/16" it says. Does that mean that the barbs are also 7/16" and that I need to buy some 7/16" clamps to have a proper fit?
There are so many more color options in basically every OTHER size other than 7/16...
Hey guys. I just purchased this mobo from newegg. Looking for good RAM recommendation for it, gonna go 8 gb with it I think. Is the ripjaw series that newegg advertises with it any good?
Here is the mobo:

I'm so confused with all these new cpu's out now days. I haven't built a new system in a LONG time.
I'm still running on an amd athlon64 X2 dual CPU 4800+
Basically I'm not going to be doing any overclocking, and not a whole lot of gaming either, the only thing intense I will be doing is HD...
So I'm trying to put together a new system, and I have this old case I had lying around that was going to eventually be a water cooled system before I lost interest about 5 years ago, lol.
Basically the case is all set up for a top mounted rad with pre cut holes for 3 120mm fans.
I'm not...
I think i read that AMD's new procs are coming mid 2007 and will be compatible with socket AM2 mobo's, right? How exactly are these chips going to stand up against conroe's? I mean are they going to try and one up intel and make them even better, or are they not going to be anything alike?
I'm planning on doing the water cooling myself on my new system. Before i had just bought a corsair kit with everything there, and it was real easy. But now that I have a bit more experience, and a bit more understanding of how water cooling works, i'd like to build my own water cooling system...
I just put in two gigs of the corsair 3500LLPRO. It runs at 2-3-2-6 1T. I got those timings right, but what i am confused about is the mhz in which it is supposed to run. I know pc3500 runs at 217-218 instead of 200mhz. Is this something i have to set in the bios, cuz right now when i open...
I have it locked in place right now, and i can't figure out how to get it off of there, i don't want to force anything, is there a release button i push or something?
this is my rig:
asus a8n sli premium
amd x2 4800
BFG 7800GTX SLI
OCZ titanium 2 gig dual channel ram
Now how can this setup have crappy performance in FEAR. I max out everything except for shadows, and turn soft shadows off. And then i put on AS at 16x. And it plays nicely, but then i...
I've never done anything with mods in any game before. So this is all new to me, i'm not so much interested in new game modes as i am new maps. For example, on the very first unreal tournament there was the one where it had no gravity and you could hop from building to building through space...
Is this normal, usually it's instintaneous, like UT04 and doom 3 and stuff, but it takes a good like 2 or 3 seconds to go back to the title screen, it takes about that long to save when you hit quick save too. Is this normal for this game, or is my system messed up?
Which is more accurate. For example. Mine have a difference of about 6 or 7 degrees. Asus probe will tell me that my cpu is running at like 40-42 c, and then i will reboot, and go into the bios, and it will be at 34c. Which is more inclined to be accurate?

I have two 1 gig sticks of OCZ titanium ram running in dual channel. Is this ram decent at OC'ing, i don't need to get it too high, 250mhz would probably be enough to max out the OC i can do on an x2 4800. Would i be able to achieve this on this ram. BTW i my mobo is the asus a8n premium
This is absolutely ridiculous, that's all i can say about it. I have to sit so far back just to be able to see the whole screen that i have now. RIDICULOUS. i love it
I'm gettin mine tomorrow and plan to hook it up via dvi. Does it come with a dvi cable already, and of decent length, or do i need to go buy a dvi cable to hook it up with?
thanks
Eric
I just set up my new watercooling rig. It was my first time, and i don't have a whole lot of room in my case, so i didn't go all out, i just bought the corsair cool kit. I set it all up, this is upgrading from an xp-120. My x2 4800 went from idling at 42-43 celsius, down to 36-38 celcius...
I could make a new system out of all these, but i have upgraded to a new cpu, a premium mobo, and some ocz ram, and now i have these spare parts which i am hoping to sell for a decent price and buy a new lcd monitor
1 asus a8n sli deluxe mobo, this particular mobo was only actually used for 3...
AVG isn't compatible, and i downloaded a free trial of mcafee, and it also told me it couldn't install on my current OS, what the hell do i use now, those are the only two decent ones i know of, symantec bogs your system down way too much
will someone explain it to me, i always read how people like to play with it with there X2's, well i have an X2 now, but i don't know what it is or what it does
Anybody who is thinking of ordering a corsair cool water cooling kit be careful. Listen to what happened to me tonight.
I bought a new x2 4800 cpu, some new ocz titanium ram, and a corsair cool watercooling kit. I took the old cpu out put the new in, i put the new ram in, i put together the...
I bought an x2 4800 and plan to watercool and OC it, but my previous experience in OC'ing was with the fx series, and that didn't need to be unlocked. What do i need to do to OC the x2 4800?
I just installed farcry on my system. I have an fx-55 with dual 7800gtx's. I set the AA to off, because HDR is not compatible with AA, then turn the AF up to 8x. Then i go in the game, and at the first part where you can see up over onto the beach, i bring the console up and type the command...
